Don’t let the relaxed smile on this amazing lady’s face fool you! This is Barb Mrozek, Director of one of the largest children’s charities in the country, the Toronto Star Santa Claus Fund. She is also one of the busiest ladies in the GTA as she heads up a number of charities in her title as Director, Toronto Star Charities and Philanthropy. She took time out of her whirlwind schedule to receive our donation, in person at Hudson Restoration’s head office in Burlington. Hudson’s contribution will be one of thousands towards the fund’s $1.7 million fundraising goal!
Once again, in December 2019 Hudson Restoration held their annual Charity Casino at The Royal York Hotel, with funds going directly
to the Toronto Star Santa Claus Fund!
I had the pleasure of meeting Barb Mrozek, Director of the Toronto Star Charities! In her very lovely thank you letter, it was mentioned that Hudson’s contribution of $1,400 has provided as many as 40 children in the GTA…Toronto, Mississauga, Brampton, Ajax and Pickering…with a gift to open during the holidays. “Each box contains a little COMFORT & JOY, including a shirt, hat, mittens, socks, book small toy, cookies and dental hygiene items.”
The children’s names are provided by more than 130 social and community service agencies. One hundred per cent of every dollar donated is spent directly on the merchandise for the children.
We would like to thank the guests who participated in our Charity Casino and the Toronto Star for continuing the Santa Claus Fund tradition since 1906.
