Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19)
COVID-19
The novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak has people scrambling to protect themselves, their homes and businesses from potential contamination. The effects of this type of biohazard situation can last up to a week and the continued spread of the disease has led to a growing number of fatalities in Canada.
As per New York Times, “The coronavirus can live for three days on some surfaces, like plastic and steel, new research suggests.”… “Everything at the grocery store and restaurant takeout containers and bags could in theory have infectious virus on them,” said Dr. Linsey Marr"
All Hudson Restoration field staff have been trained in Biohazard cleaning. Our certified technicians have the most up-to-date information & developments on the ongoing studies & procedures with respect to cleaning the virus.
Hudson Restoration’s 5-Step “COVID” Cleaning Process
1. ASSESSMENT
We start our process with a simple phone call. We gather your information and determine the scope of work required. This will include budget pricing and next steps.
Following the initial phone call an on-site inspection is scheduled as part of the assessment. Prior to attending a simple questionnaire will be sent to you for completion regarding COVID 19 protocol. Our inspection will be performed in full PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and we will further clarify the scope of work to be completed. Once we have a detailed scope of work we will require endorsement of our work authorization prior to commencement of any work.
We will then create a written protocol specific to your project. At that point will also perform ATP pre-clean testing which will provide the baseline allowing us to measure the efficacy of our cleaning.
2. MANUAL CLEANING
Following the assessment, endorsed work authorization, and completion of written protocol, our crew of fully trained IICRC technicians will attend to commence manual cleaning using water and surfactant as per the scope of work. Using only CDC/Health Canada Certified cleaning products our technicians document this process ensuring no areas are missed. Cleaning all surfaces prior to disinfecting ensures maximum disinfectant efficiency.
3. MANUAL DISINFECTING
After ensuring all surfaces have been properly cleaned, we then manually apply our disinfectant to all horizontal surfaces and high-touch points as defined in the scope of work. It is then left on these surfaces for the recommended dwell time, and removed using clean cloths.
4. PURAYR® GAS TREATMENT
Following the manual application of our disinfectant, we apply an environmentally safe and effective gas treatment to the affected areas to fully ensure decontamination of all virus and bacteria. Our gases include Hydrogen Peroxide and purified Ozone which combine to eradicate virus and bacteria including the SARS Covid virus. The Multiphase Photocatalytic Oxidation (MPO) process attacks all organic microorganisms in the treated area. PurAyr’s process is non-selective and eliminates all human omissions.
This safe application is much more effective at fighting virus than a typical ULV Fogger as our gases fill the space much like water fills a glass. The gas molecule is so small it can sterilize hard-to-reach surfaces & areas not accessible by our technicians.
5. CLOSEOUT DOCUMENTATION
The final step is our closeout document process. This includes a post treatment ATP swab test to demonstrate to you the efficacy of our cleaning. From the initial scope of work document to on site process documentation (including work in progress photo documentation) we want you to feel confident the work was completed to your satisfaction. Our closing report will include a detailed overview of each step and the final ATP swab results.
