The novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak has people scrambling to protect themselves, their homes and businesses from potential contamination. The effects of this type of biohazard situation can last up to a week and the continued spread of the disease has led to a growing number of fatalities in Canada.

All Hudson Restoration field staff have been trained in Biohazard cleaning. Our certified technicians have the most up-to-date information & developments on the ongoing studies & procedures with respect to cleaning the virus.

Hudson Restoration’s 3-Step “COVID” Cleaning Process

1. Pre-Screen/Inspection

We start our process with a simple phone call. We gather as much information as possible & gauge the potential severity of the infected facility. You will receive all of the information you are looking for including approximate pricing & next steps. This call is crucial as it limits our technicians exposure by only attending calls which are serious about proceeding with cleaning.

If after our phone call you are satisfied, an on-site inspection is performed. We will attend, having you fill out a simple questionnaire. Our inspection will be performed in full PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) & we will mark off the “Touchpoints” or high-touch areas for future cleaning, ensuring each room is properly documented.

2.Manually Application of Products/Disinfectants

Following the inspection & signing of proper documentation, our crew of fully trained IICRC technicians will attend the facility in full protective gear. We will begin from top to bottom in each room, manually applying a surfactant & disinfectant. We have experience in this field performing Biohazard cleaning & have perfected the cleaning process & use of CDC/Health Canada Certified cleaning products. The technicians will remove the marked off “Touchpoints” as they clean, ensuring no areas are missed.

Once the facility has been manually wiped down in this order, a supervisor will meticulously inspect all cleaned areas, ensuring nothing was missed. ATP Testing is performed on surfaces to ensure cleanliness.

3. PurAyr ® Treatment

In order to further ensure the safety of the occupants, Hudson Restoration has a fully stocked fleet of PurAyr canisters (www.purayr.com). PurAyr‘s air and surface decontamination process has proven effective in fighting back against viruses in an indoor environment. The Multiphase Photocatalytic Oxidation (MPO) process attacks all organic microorganisms in the treated area. PurAyr’s process is non-selective and eliminates all human omissions.

This application is much more effective at fighting virus than a typical ULV Fogger as the gas fills the space much like water fills a glass. The gas molecule is so small it can sterilize hard-to-reach surfaces & areas not accessible by our technicians.

  • Dispatch

    A Hudson Restoration representative will be dispatched within one hour of your call.

  • Emergency

    Once you've experienced a loss, whether it be a fire, water, wind etc. Typically emergency cleaning is required. In most cases this is performed on a time & materials basis. As soon as the structure is stabilized, we stop & move to phase 2.

  • Repair

    After the emergency cleaning/tear out is complete & the structure is stabilized, a project manager from Hudson Restoration will produce an estimate to put you back to pre-loss conditions. This estimate will be sent to your insurance company. Once approved by your insurance adjuster, you will have the option to proceed with Hudson Restoration to complete the repairs.
