Hudson Restoration has been involved in asbestos abatement for industrial, commerecial, and residential buildings. All staff are certified as 253W Asbestos Workers and regulations are strictly enforced on site. Hudson Restoration has the skills and knowledge to resolve any asbestos issues you may have.
Asbestos poses health risks only when fibres are in the air that people breathe. Asbestos fibres lodge in the lungs, causing scarring that can ultimately lead to severely impaired lung function (asbestosis) and cancers of the lung or lung cavity. It is no longer used in building construction today, however; some older condominium buildings may contain asbestos in pipe insulation or drywall compound or floor tile.
Just as there are many forms of asbestos, there are various methods of management and/or removal of asbestos containing materials. Asbestos is regulated in Ontario by the Occupational Health and Safety Act. As such, asbestos removal operations must be carried out by certified asbestos abatement contractors as per Ontario Regulation 278/05.
Asbestos removal procedures fall under three categories. Type 1, Type 2 and Type 3. Each of these procedures require different provisions for the removal of asbestos and will be determined based on the type and/or amount of material to be removed.
Let the certified professionals at Hudson Restoration resolve any asbestos issues you may have.
We follow safe and strict IICRC guidelines when dealing with any mold exposure. All our technicians our fully trained and IICRC certified in mold remediation. Identification and containment are critical to reducing health risk and liability.
Quick reaction is the key to containing mold exposure, especially in the event of a water loss. Hudson Restoration guarantees effective mold remediation for your health and safety.
Remove all wet and mold damaged porous materials. All non-porous materials and wood surfaces that are moldy Must be cleaned with a detergent solution. The second step involves vacuuming all surfaces with a HEPA vacuum.
Additional testing by an environmental specialist or testing company may be performed or required after the initial clean up depending on the extent of the damage to determine and correct the cause.
When it comes to a comprehensive moisture management strategy, addressing the environment in a proactive fashion and being vigilant and observant to potential mold “hot spots” can dramatically decrease potential liability and health issues from mold.
